Leicester City thrashed Nottingham Forest 4-0 at King Power in East Midlands Derby to claim their first Premier League victory of the season. Leicester City opened the scores in the 25th minute through James Maddison before Harvey Barnes combined with Vardy in the 27th minute to score the 2nd goal. The foxes were 3-0 up at the break after James Maddison scored a freekick in the 35th minute to gift the hosts a 3 goals advantage.
Leicester City brought on Soukare & Daka early second half as substitutes for Vardy and Ndidi while Nottingham Forest brought on Freuler, Yates, Aurier, Dennis & Mangala for Kouyate, Obrien, Williams, Awonyi and Lingard. Leicester City scored their 4th goal in the 73rd minute through Daka who was assisted by Maddison to seal a vital 4-0 victory for the hosts. After the 4-0 victory, Leicester City climbed up to position 19 in the EPL table with 4 points while Nottingham Forest dropped to position 20 with 4 points.
