Chelsea have reportedly joined Arsenal in a transfer fight to land Premier League defender. According to the news, Chelsea are keen to hijack the deal after Tuchel expressed his interest to add another center back. That is a huge blow for Arsenal who were having a free run in the deal. The Gunners had progressed well after agreeing personal terms with the player.
Chelsea are rivaling the Gunners to sign Ben White from Brighton Albion. The center back has already shown his capacity to defend and track the ball. Tuchel thinks that he can improve the defense so that he can revert into a 4-3-3 system. He currently plays three at the back because of the vulnerability of the current team to play only four defenders. Arsenal are reportedly in advanced stages to sign the player. They are busy negotiating with the club Brighton over the fee which is around £40 million. The Blues have not yet submitted any bid for the player. Only a strong interest was registered.
