Tottenham Hotspurs forward, Richarlison apologizes to his Brazilian counterpart, for snubbing a handshake during their North London derby meeting on Sunday.
The 25-year-old stated his reasons for the behaviour were that Martinelli was diving a lot and his team wasted too much time while speaking to ESPN Brasil.
"It was a foul there that the referee ended up giving, we were close to the move, but in my opinion it wasn't, I told him he was diving a lot", he stated.
"With Gabriel, we argued a little because I wanted to get on the game. He ended up getting yellow, and I said to him, let's play. I told him they were stopping play all the time, it's part of the game", he added.
In his apology, he said that both were hot-headed, something that happens in football matches with opponents and teammates.
"Like it or not, he's my teammate. It's part of the game, it's a derby, we were hot-headed", Richarlison said.
Richarlison was a substitute for Spurs in the 71st minute, whose impact was not that much felt in the derby.
The forward also expressed his fury over Arsenal's goalkeeper who celebrated their second goal in the Tottenham fan's side.
