UEFA Champions League

Double Blow For Chelsea Despite Winning At Half-Time

Chelsea are currently leading Malmo 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in the UEFA Champions League, thanks to goals from Andreas Christensen and a penalty from Jorginho.

Despite leading before the break, the Blues were dealt a double blow as record signing Romelu Lukaku was replaced in the 23rd minute due to an ankle injury. The former Inter Milan star was awarded a penalty but failed to rise, leaving him writhing in agony on the floor.

However, just before halftime, the Blues were forced to make their second substitution of the night after Timo Werner injured his hamstring in the 43rd minute.

Callum Hudson-Odoi eventually took his spot.

With both players out injured and no update on their injuries, Thomas Tuchel may face a severe challenge as he enters a vital stretch in the Premier League. They are presently leading the EPL table.

Do you believe Chelsea will be able to survive without both strikers? Don't forget to leave your ideas in the comments area. Thank you very much.
