Sakaja speaks out, dismisses claims that Igathe has beaten him

Nairobi gubernatorial race continues to tighten. Polycarp Igathe and Johnson Sakaja maintain a fierce competition. Fans from both sides have been posting results showing their sides winning. However, the results are not yet out. The race is still stiff and anything can happen.

A fan went ahead to post Igathe's victory on Twitter, which cought the attention of Johnson Sakaja. Sakaja quickly responded to the fan, telling him not to spread lies. Since Wednesday 11, Sakaja's fans have been having a 'cold fight' with Igathe's. Early in the morning, Sakaja had been declared a winner alongside Anne Waiguru and other UDA candidates.

When the evening came, the vise versa happened, it was now Igathe's fans taking over the social media pages. All fans and followers are however advised to stay cool and wait for the results. IEBC will make its final announcement soon.

From latest reports at Nairobi county, specifically Kibera, counting has been disrupted. The disruption has been caused by delay of results from Raila Odinga's polling station. The results have been lost, as reported by the presiding officer from the station. This make counting more difficult. Results from Nairobi county can therefore delay for hours to come.

Before elections began, opinion polls had shown that Sakaja will win the election by a landslide. Things began to change as counting began. Many expected Sakaja to be declared winner in the next morning.

As Kenyans continue to wait for a winner between Sakaja and Igathe, they should all maintain peace. Nairobi metropolitan is an area which comprises citizens from all parts of the country. This invites difference in political ideologies and as a result, cases of violence can arise.

As a Kenyan, no one is allowed to fight the other because of different ideologies.

Stay cool and wait for results at your home. Nairobi results will be out soon.

Below is a screenshot showing honourable Sakaja dismiss rumours that he has lost.
