Since joining Thai League giants Buriram United after several stints clubless, Harambee Stars speedy winger Ayub Timbe has been one of the top players for the club.On Sunday evening, Timbe was in action as Buriram United secured a 3-0 win over Nong Bua Pitchaya FC in a match which was their second last in the 2021/22 season.
Buriram United opened the scoring in the 30th minute through Supachok Sarachart before Bunmathan made it two in the 69th minute.Timbe rapped it up with Buriram's third goal which came in the 82nd minute.This win has ensured that Timbe's Buriram United have clinched the 2021/22 Thai League title with one match to go.
So far, Buriram United has 62 points from 29 matches and they are on a 5 points lead ahead of second placed BG Pathum United.The title victory means that Timbe will be playing in the AFC Champions League alongside his Kenyan counterpart Michael Olunga who qualified with Qatar club Al Duhail.
