Chelsea has been seriously looking for a quality striker this summer in a bid to strengthen their forward line. Erling Haaland, Lewandoski, and Harry Kane have all been linked with moves to Stamford but only Inter Milan has agreed to sell Lukaku, putting an end to Chelsea's desperate search for a striker.
The £115 rated star is expected to start his first match in Chelsea versus Crystal Palace opening match of England Premier League This Season. Lukaku will undoubtedly be featured among the first XI team and his presence at Stamford Bridge will see Chelsea relying less on their iconic man Timo Werner.
Below are four possible ways Blues could line up in the 2021/22 season with Romelo Lukaku in the squad.
1. Chelsea could try the combination of Lukaku and Werner as forwards and use Havertz as a substitute.
2. Chelsea could use 3 forward men Lukaku, Werner, and Ziyech courtesy of their famous 3-4-3 formation.
3. Another possibility is using Lukaku as the only forward and 2 attacking midfielders.
4. Lastly, Chelsea could use Lukaku as striker and mount and Pulisic as second striker.
