Andreas Pereira may still have a role at Manchester United if Flamengo fail to sign him on a permanent basis.

Pereira secured a season-long loan exit to Flamengo to hone his skills in the Brazilian Serie A after accepting that he was not in Solskjaer's plans for the season.
Flamengo have yet to decide whether to sign him on a permanent basis, and TNT claim the player received a call from United's director John Murtough, informing him that he would have a chance to compete for a place in Ten Hag's team.

Pereira's return, however, is contingent on Flamengo failing to exercise the £10 million option to convert his loan deal to a permanent one.

Flamengo are unlikely to sign Pereira, according to Sport Witness, and Pereira could return to Old Trafford, where his current contract expires in 2023 with an option for another year.

It is worth noting that Ten Hag once coached Pereira when he was an assistant coach at PSV.
