They have been placed in group A that consists of Napoli, Ajax and Rangers. Their round 1 group stage match will be played on 7th September 2022 against Napoli.
The Reds have released their UEFA Champions League squad for the new season. Goalkeepers in the squad are Alisson Becker, Adrian and Caoimhin Kelleher.

The central midfielders are Fabinho, Nabil Keita, James Milner, Thiago Alcantara, Arthur, Stefan Bajcetic and Jordan Henderson. Their forwards are Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Luiz Diaz.
