Liverpool will have a short trip to Manchester this evening to complete their third fixture of the new Premier League season that is just two weeks since it officially kicked off.
United are coming to this match a disappointed side with a point to prove after a disastrous start to the season that places them in the 19th place with 0 points and so is Liverpool who are also desperate for a win.
United lost their opener at home against Brighton and Hove Albion in a 2-1 thriller before being humbled 4-0 by Brentford United in their second match of the season.
Even though they are yet to lose a match, Liverpool have not had a convincing start to the new season after coming from behind in their last two matches against Fulham and Crystal Palace to secure only a point.
And during the time he was giving his prediction on the same match, Jamie Carragher who was on his punditry duty with Sky Sports said that Liverpool have not been good defensively in their previous three matches, something that United can capitalize on to smile with three points tonight.
"I don’t think Liverpool have been defending well this season in the three games they’ve had."
"There have been a lot of opportunities for the opposition. I can see United scoring, but I think Liverpool have enough to get a couple of goals."
