Cesar Azpilicueta Picks Out Chelsea's Main Reason For Not Winning The Title In The Last Five Years

Cesar Azpilicueta has recently signed a new contract at the blues and he will captain the West London outfits for the next two seasons.

The Chelsea captain blames Chelsea's misfiring strikers for the five year title drought at the club.

The Spaniard believes that due to the fact that their strikers have not been able to find the back of the net in regular occasions is the main reason they haven't won the premier league title since 2017.

The Chelsea captain who was part of the team that won 1-0 at Everton in the opening match of the season believes the club hasn't had a striker who scores on a regular basis since Diego Costa left. These claims come after Tuchel admitted that the number 9 at Chelsea is cursed.

The transfer business Thomas Tuchel is doing in West London seems to be in agreement with Cesar Azpilicueta's claims after loaning out misfiring Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner is on the verge of leaving the club to join RB Leipzig.

Despite the fact that the blues do not have a natural center forward Cesar Azpilicueta is still confident of the future of Stamford bridge and Thomas Tuchel believes due to the fact that the team is still on transition, there is still room for improvement.
