Mateo Kovacic is delighted to be back competing at his third FIFA club world cup and explains why Chelsea will be the most motivated club in the tournament.
The Croatian international is one of the few members of this blues squad who has previous experience of the club world cup and the only one in possession of a winner's medal.
He twice played in and won the competition during his time with Real Madrid , lifting the trophy in Japan in 2016 and successful defending their title the following year in Abu Dhabi ,where this season's edition is also taking place .
Since joining the blues Mateo has had a good time in his career with the coating of the cake being his goal against Liverpool in January that further earned him the goal of the month award. He is looking forward to mark history by winning the third FIFA club world cup and mostly in a different clubs
