Chama Cha Mashinani (CCK) leader Isaac Rutto has promised to complete the building of stalled Bomet IAAF Stadium if elected as the governor.

The IAAF Stadium located near Bomet Governor's office has been under construction since 2013, when Rutto tool power as the first Governor.

Once complete it can host a approximately thirty thousand people at a go and can support multiple sporting activities ranging from football, athletics, rugby and indoor sports.

With such capacity it will be third largest stadium in Kenya, after Nyayo National Stadium and Kasarani International Sports Complex.

"Congratulations APS Bomet for securing promotion to play in the country's top football league- FKF Premier league.

To promote sporting activities in the region, I am committed to complete the construction of Bomet IAAF Stadium which I initiated during my regime - but which has been stuffed of funds for the last five years," promised Rutto.

His gubernatorial opponent Barichok also joined in celebrating the milestone achieved by the home grown team.

Azimio leader Raila Odinga on the other hand promised to upgrade stadiums in Kenya to the level of hosting AFCON and World Cup.
