Man Utd: Players Confront Ronaldo After Controversial Interview, Henderson's New Resolve, and More

Dean Henderson

Manchester United second choice goalkeeper Dean Henderson seems to have had a change of heart about leaving the club after it was revealed that he wants to stay at the club and fight for a position in the starting eleven. A few weeks ago the 24-year-old was linked to a move to his formative club Sheffield United but unfortunately for him, the club is suffering from a financial crisis. He also received a couple of proposals from unnamed Spanish clubs but turned them down claiming that he wants to establish his career in England and stay close to his family.

Dean Henderson was very instrumental in Manchester United’s runners-up finish last season after David De Gea fell from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s pecking orders. This season however has been very different from his expectations but is patient enough to find a way of wriggling his way back into the starting eleven

Cristiano Ronaldo

The Manchester United dressing is not very happy with Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent interview with Sky Sports after he claimed that some of the young players are not heeding to his pieces of advice. During the interview, Cristiano Ronaldo admitted that there was a breakdown in communication between some of the players and therefore the team lacked chemistry whenever they were on the pitch. To address this issue, Ronaldo urged the said players to change their attitude and accept to be correct or learn from their mistakes and foster the club’s development.

Reports have revealed that some disgruntled players confronted Ronaldo for his sentiments in the interview and castigated him for revealing the club’s internal problems. A high-profile player in the club however seconded Ronaldo’s actions and cooled off the players who were confronting the Portuguese striker.

Diogo Dalot

Diogo Dalot has had a huge turnaround this season, from being close to being permanently signed by AC Milan to now being Ralf Ragnick’s first choice right back. Dalot recently marked his 50th appearance for Manchester United after an inspired win against Brentford despite being a player of the club for close to four years. With regular appearances, however, he could double his current appearances halfway through next season.
