Man city agree deal to sign highly rated Leeds midfielder

Kalvin Phillips has been a key figure in the Leeds midfielder and now the Leeds academy graduate is set to join Man city with the English champions set to pay a fee of around £45m to £50m for the Leeds midfielder.

Manchester city have reportedly agreed a fee with Leeds and now Kalvin Phillips is set to leave his boyhood club where he came through the academy and was really impressive under former manager Marcelo Bielsa, who resigned before the end of last season.

The deal is yet to be officially completed because Kalvin Phillips still has to agree personal terms and pass a medical.

Reports from sky sports claim that out of respect for Leeds the only club Phillips could have joined was Manchester city and he has turned down offers from other top clubs

The England international will be needed at the Etihad to fill in the gap left by Fernandinho who will be leaving this summer after almost a decade at the club.

The boyhood fan of Leeds is promised trophies at City and champions league football and it would be a huge step in his career.

He can therefore follow the foot steps of Jack Grealish who left his boyhood club Aston Villa and won the English premier league title in less than a year.
