A lot of focus on the line-up today. There’s so much to consider. For a start, the turnaround between Paris and Palace is shorter than Dortmund and Chelsea, so surely going to have to be a lot of rotation next Saturday. But does that mean little rotation today?
The difficulty there is that based on Leeds and Chelsea, big rotation looks like a bad idea. But it’s not just about results in those games, it’s the relief of mental/physical fatigue in the players, which just seems vital this season.
And the logistics after Real Madrid look pretty grim (in football terms, it’s obviously not a grueling life experience). Fly back to Manchester late Wednesday or Thursday, then to London Friday for the early? Or fly to London from Paris on Thursday? Just some things to consider.
Play the best team available which is the starting line-up we used on Wednesday, except Jorghino for Kovacic. These players can play 90mins twice in 3 days. And 'Its Totten ham' City will have 80% possession anyway. If we start Sterling and Jesus they will lose.
