Manchester Ace 'Wanted By Barcelona In The Summer As Manager May Demand £57m' For The Star's Move

Manchester City are looking forward to challenging Arsenal in a tough Premier League campaign this season. Meanwhile Pep is desperate to keep hold of few high profile players this coming summer and there is a possibility of adding more new players.

Winning Champions League football this season will be a huge boost to Pep especially after adding Erling Haaland from BVB in last summer. Last summer Gabriel Jesus moved to Arsenal and there could be more set for departure.

Bernardo Silva remains a transfer target for Barcelona, reports claim. The Spanish giants have been linked with the Manchester City star in the last two transfer windows. And, finances allowing, they will step up their efforts to sign him at the end of the season, according to Sport.

A transfer last summer wasn't possible as Frenkie de Jong was doomed for Old Trafford move but then ended up staying at the Catalans soil. City then reportedly rejected a £62million bid in January as they did not want to lose Silva, 28, mid-season.

But Sport say a £57.5m offer at the end of the campaign would be enough to secure his signature. City are reported to have told Silva's agent Jorge Mendes that a £57.5m offer would be accepted.

He will have two years left on his Etihad deal at the end of the season. The Portuguese playmaker is eyeing a new challenge after six years in Manchester. Meanwhile it's possible PSG to as well challenge the Laliga giants to the signature of Silva in blow to the Xavi side.
