According to Fabrizio Romano, it's now official that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has penned down a 4 year contract with Barcelona.
In what came as a surprise package to Arsenal fans, Aubameyang made a shock move on the deadline day after he was seen having jetted to Spain. A day later he was seen training with the Catalan Giants an assurance that he had made up his mind.
Aubameyang was sensational in his sentiments bidding goodbye to his former club, that gave a statement stating how important was the star was to them netting 92 goals in 162 appearances for the North London club. 
His contract was terminated after he agreed with the club to compensate him 7 million Euros which to Arsenal was a sigh of relief given the strikers huge wage bill amounting 350k Euros. Barcelona were then able to rob him off on a free transfer setting his release clause at 100 million Euros which many have critized. This development came in the midst of growing disconnect between the Gabon hero and the club and this was clearly evident when he was stripped his captaincy by the manager who for long have not been in good terms following disciplinary issues.
Now The Gunners need to realign their affairs to fill in the gap left by Aubameyang. Gabriel Martinelli is the best fit and perfect replacement and he will need to step up to collaborate with Lacazzete and Khetiah to ensure a strong attacking force. The Brazilian forward has shown high level of professional football. 
The 20 year old has a promising future at the club and this will be a golden opportunity for him to reap big as he is likely now be sure of a regular starter. The Gunners are eyeing a Champions League spot and this is the time they need to have that incision power the most.
