Manchester united legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson had a knack of signing strikers who knew where the back of the net is having brought deadly finishers to the Old Trafford stadium during his reign.
One of the talismen that Fergie signed when he was at the helm was former Real Madrid and Netherlands talisman Ruud Van Nisterlrooy who was brought in 2001.
Van would go on and score 150 goals in 219 appearances in all competitions for the red devils in what was a trophy laden career that got sour at its end.
United may have unearthed another gem in Joe Hugill who has been bagging goals for fun for the U-23s and Ole Gunnar Solkjaer has been keen to notice him.
"If we go from that game [vs Liverpool], I’d pick Joe Hugill.Four goals by Hugill, he’s a top striker as well, we’re looking forward to seeing his development." Ole said.
Hugill was signed from Sunderland last summer and insiders believe he is nearly ready for first team action with his goal tally really impressive.
His 6ft 2inch has seen him likened to Tottenham's Harry Kane but many believe he is the closest thing united have since Ruud swapped united for Real Madrid.
