Thibaut Courtois Fires Back At De Bruyne After Saying Belgium Is Too Old To Win World Cup

After Kevin De Bruyne's statement that Belgian is too old to win the world cup this year, Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has fired back at him saying it's an excuse.

This came after the lose to African side Morocco that left many fans surprised. Despite of the Belgian squad remaining with one game to play in order to qualify to round of 16, the Manchester City playmaker left many fans surprise after claiming his side is not worthy to win the title.

However, his Real Madrid colleague Thibaut Courtois has offered his verdict on the statement using Real Madrid as the best example of the situation. He claims age isn't an issue as Madrid have always shined with old players like Modric and Benzema in it's squad.

"We don't have an age issue. At Real Madrid we have Modric and Benzema, it's too easy to make excuses." Benzema said.
