Hello there!!! Thank you for another time and welcome back again to daily updates. This time we want to look at the possible line up that Pep Guardiola could set up with his Manchester City team next season after signing Kalvin Phillips and Erling Haaland this summer transfer window.
Our predicted line up has a 4-1-2-3 formation and let's see who it features at each position;
Here,we could have a least competition as Ederson Moraes is expected to continue being number one goalkeeper in the goal post. The Brazilian star has been Pep Guardiola's first choice goalkeeper and he could possibly retain this role for next season.
So far, Manchester City have not signed any new defender and therefore, they could possibly have the same backline as last season. Joao Cancelo could start on the left back, Kyle Walker on the right back and the center back could pair Ruben Dias and Aymeric Laporte. These four players were outstanding last season, enabling Man City to win the premier league title.
Fernandinho left the club due to the expiry of his contract with Manchester City. This means that Spanish star Rodri could be the team's first choice defensive midfielder. Above Rodri, a pair of Kevin de Bruyne and Bernado Silva could operate in the central midfield.
Gabriel Jesus has also departed Manchester City for Arsenal and Erling Haaland is set to be announced as the next number 9 for Pep Guardiola's squad. Haaland could possibly start at the center forward with support from the wings comprising Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez on the left wing and right wing respectively.
Thank you for your time and welcome back in the next article.
