The goal that hit the limelight was Kieran Trippier's. Trippier scored a free-kick placing it far beyond Jordan Pickford's reach to the left-hand side. He struck the ball cleanly and magnificently. His goal finished off Everton's hopes of a comeback.
Newcastle made several signings in the January Transfer window bringing in Bruno Guimarães, Kieran Tripper, Chris Wood, Matt Targett and Dan Burn. The signings were made to improve the team and help them avoid the relegation zone. So far Kieran Trippier has not disappointed. He proved his quality yesterday and many will be watching him in the coming matches.
