Meet Omanyala Omurwa Kenya's Fastest Man in 100m Tokyo 2021 Olympics

What a race.. what a time!!! All Kenyans joined by MBS David Rudisha too a Kenyan middle-distance runner couldn't hide their joy as they flood the internet to congratulate Omanyala for opening the door for sprint event in Kenya 2021 Olympics. 

Omanyala Omurwa proudly bet his own Kenyan record in the 100m at the Josko Lauf Meeting in Austria.

Running 9.96 in the prelims, 9.86 in the final.This took him by surprise too as prior to this year his best for the 100m was a mediocre 10.32 his big dreams really awaking his soul.

Omanyala Omurwa was most known for almost making the final at the Tokyo Olympics before his run in Austria where he ran the previous Kenyan record of 10.00 in the semifinals. 

Ferdinand Omanyala Omurwa is a Kenyan sprinter aged 25 years old who specializes in the 100m and 200m events.

He is now the first Kenyan to go sub10 as he runs a new national record of 9.86 in the current 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

Omanyala Omurwa is also a former rugby player who started sprinting in 2017.

Previously, the national record was 10.14 set by Mark Otieno Odhiambo in 2017 as no one else had ever run under 10.20 reducing it to 10.11 before Omurwa taking over recording 10.06 in May, 10.02 at the Kenyan champs and 10.00 at the Olympics.

Omurwa,the now lone ranger representing team Kenya in the 100m Olympics is expecting to compete in the semis hoping to emerge the first Kenyan to make it through the finals in the 100m. 

All we wish him is victory for Kenyans are known to be the hero of the jungle.
