Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF) side Nzoia Sugar on Friday confirmed the appointment Ibrahim Shikanda (Babu) as their new head coach for the reminder of the 2020/21 season. The former Nairobi Stima tactician has arrived at the Sugar Millers to try and steady their ship after a rather poor start to the FKF Premier League campaign. Nzoia have confirmed on their social media pages. "Meet our newly appointed head coach Salim Babu. He is officially ours," read the caption that accompanied the social media post on Twitter. Shikanda will now be deputized by Sylvester Mulukurwa who has been serving as the interim coach. Shikanda previously coached National Super League (NSL) side Nairobi Stima, and also served as an assistant coach at Bandari Football Club until the end of last season. His main goal at the club will be to avoid relegation. It will be interesting to see what he will do and what changes he will make as manager.
