Arsenal: Fans Want Laca and Auba Paired, Odegaard's Commitment, Lokonga's Admission

Martin Odegaard

Arsenal’s midfield maestro Martin Odegaard has reaffirmed his position with Arsenal after he recently stated that he was very happy at the club and he does not wish to be anywhere else but at the Emirates. He said that despite the few losses in the opening matches of the season, he still believes that Arsenal will make a great comeback in the league and re-establish its reputation as a top-six club.

Martin Odegaard scored a brilliant freekick against Burnley over the weekend to give the Gunners three valuable points and take them a notch higher in the league’s standing. Odegaard has played every game for the Gunners since his debut for this season and will be looking to lift Arsenal higher up the table as a reward for Mikel Arteta’s unwavering faith in him.

Alexander Lacazette

Alexander Lacazette is yet to make his debut in the new season but fans are calling upon Mikel Arteta to start him instead because he does a better job at the number 9 role than Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. It has been noticed that Aubameyang tends to play an isolated role in the frontline which makes it very difficult for other players to include him in the game.

Unlike Aubameyang, Lacazette tends to engage himself in the game since he always tracks back and assists with defensive duties. Lacazette, who plays as a target man, also involves other players in the game by launching forward passes to wingers on the flanks, something Aubameyang rarely does. In the upcoming match against Tottenham however, fans expect Mikel Arteta to pair the two strikers because Tottenham's defense has been noticed to be unstable.

Sambi Lokonga

Arsenal’s midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga admittedly stated that he never knew what to expect when he came to the Premier League and was surprised at how Burnley played with an unmatched tempo throughout Saturday’s match. He said that he was told that he was going to witness the traditional English football game by Burnley and he was stupified by the number of crosses that the Burnley team was making in the weekend's game.
