Edinson Cavani was just Sensational against Villarreal, he completely changed the Tempo of the game. He played like a 21 year old kid with that energy and runs he made. He was constantly putting pressure on the Villarreal defenders all through even in situations that you could not imagine he had a chance in winning the ball. His work rate is something many football fans do not acknowledge well enough.
Here, Matic misplaced a pass and the Red Devils thought they had given away pocession. The Villarreal defender was under no pressure and had ample of time to clear the ball but Cavani did not give up on chasing it. Ronaldo is a good striker but when it comes to pressuring and repossession of the ball Cavani is way better. We definitely want to see both players work together for longer periods of time.
And the most beautiful moment was Cavani Holding Cristiano's number 7 Jersey in the midst of the celebration and later he handed it to Cristiano Ronaldo. We need more of the Uruguay international.
