The Africa Rally Championship Equator is ongoing at Soysambu concervancy in Naivasha, Nakuru county.
The Cabinet secretary for sports Amina Mohamed and President Uhuru Kenyatta flagged the sport yesterday which had been postponed for a number of days following the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
However, the Kericho county senator Aaron Cheruiyot is displeased by Mohamed conduct towards the sport Industry citing discrimination.
Cheruiyot wants the sports Ministry to open the stadiums for other sporting activities for sportsmen and women to earn a living.
"As you celebrate the safari rally, please reopen the Kenya Premier League, Set in a motion and the necessary protocols" Stated Cheruiyot.
It is not yet clear why Mohamed decided to flag the Safari Rally activities when all other sporting events have been halted.
The outspoken senator who is one of the youngest politicians in the country is member of the Bunge Football Club.
He has been playing alongside his counterpart from Elgeyo Marakwet county Kipchumba Murkomen.
