Abramovich who has witnessed his team win the title only once before in 2012 was hoping for the same scenes as Thomas Tuchel looked to impress his boss who still they had never met in person.
Chelsea would emerge victorious in a narrow 1-0 win to secure the trophy that would present the chance for Tuchel to meet his employer.
Abramovich walked into the pitch for the trophy presentation and its at this point when he finally met Tuchel in person.
The two exchanged some words in a lighting moment and your guess was as good as mine what the owner was saying to the manager. However Tuchel came out to reveal details of his conversation as he mentioned that he is now confident of getting a new contract.
"I think I have a new contract already. My manager said something to me about it – but I don't know for sure. It was a special moment to meet the owner for the first time on the pitch. It was the best time for that – or maybe the worst because it can only get worse after this," said an excited Tuchel.
The manager revealed that he told Abramovich of his desire to even win more trophies and that for now he wants to win the next title .
This might be the start of a historic journey for Tuchel as the Chelsea manager and with the transfer window here, you can be sure that he is just getting started with his work.
