President Uhuru has awarded the Kenyan Olympics participans who raised our frag in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The Kenyan athletes won 10 medals in the Olympics, comprising of 4 golds, 4 silvers, and 2 bronze awards.
An announcement from the State House verified that President Uhuru honored the Kenyan heroes on 16th Monday, where he used the event to declare openly cash prizes for the athletes who triumphed in those games.
Gold champions will take home KSh 1M each, KSh 750,000 for silver medalists and those that came third in each domains will pocket a cash award of KSh 500,000 per head.
The opinion by President Uhuru to award Team Kenya crew appeared amid fuss from several Kenyans who conveyed interest about the athletes' welcoming when they landed back to the nation.
Contrary to their Ugandan mates, the Kenyan athletes were received coldly after returning to the state, with the administration declaring the squad was not given a decent welcome because of COVID-19.
