Fiorentina star striker Dusan Vlahovic has said that his decision to stay at Fiorentina this season was because he felt that he owed his loyalty to the club for showing him their steadfast faith in him. He added that he wants to evolve more in the club’s setup and gain more prominence during his tenure at the club.
Arsenal were among the handful of European clubs that wanted to sign him but unfortunately, the bids were rejected by the club and the player’s agent. Fiorentina currently sit at 6th place in the Serie A table with 10 points. Vlahovic currently has four goals to his name this season and will be seeking to increase his tally as the season progresses.
According to reliable sources, the Spanish FA has been making strides in persuading Arsenal’s Academy graduate Charlie Patino to play for Spain at the international level. This follows after the player’s father confirmed that his son will be playing for England because he was born and raised in the country. Despite having dual citizenship, Patino’s camp have withheld the decision for the 17-year-old to play for England.
However, the Spanish FA is unrelenting and a number of representatives have already been sent to the player in England to convince him to play for the Spanish team. A number of lucrative deals have been offered as well as other football-related offers. The youngster is expected to sign his first senior pro contract with the Gunners in the next few months when he turns 18 years old.
Arsenal Women striker Tobin Heath has admittedly stated that she is very eager to play for Arsenal this season because it has always been her dream to play for Arsenal. She added that playing for Arsenal would be very sensational for her and that she can’t wait for all the paperwork to be resolved so that she can make her debut for the Gunners later in the season. Her late inclusion into the Arsenal squad follows after she had a fallout with Manchester City in the latter stages of last season.
