Why Man United and Tottenham Players Wore Black Arm Bands in Tonights Match

If you watched Sunday night Premier League match between Man United and Tottenham, you obviously noticed that players from both clubs were wearing black armbands.

Black armbands are worn on the right arm to prevent unneccesary confusion with the captain's arm band.

This armbands are worn in events of tragic occasions or marking a tragic occasion; this can also include historic anniversaries for example the Munich air disaster. Traditionally, black armband is used to symbolise a moment of grief.

Manchester United won the clash against Tottenham after a thrilling comeback that saw them get three crucial points. The match ended 3 - 1; goals courtesy of Fred, Cavani and Greenwood.

Manchester United now have a total of 63 points occupying the EPL's second spot, they are 11 points behind league leaders, Manchester City.
