It was both a good and bad day for Germany heavyweights Bayern Munich yesterday during their league clash against Koln. The good news of the day was that they were able to secure a much needed victory to remain top of the Bundesliga table. Also their main striker Poland's Robert Lewandowski also reached an incredible milestone of 300 career goals. This was after he scored a hat trick his third of the season and 15th in his entire career.
They also received bad news yesterday after club medics revealed that their Canadian defender Alphonso Davies will not be able to play till further notice. This is after he was diagnosed with mild myocarditis,an inflammation of the heart muscles. This is the same condition that forced Sergio Aguero to retire very early. It is normally deadly and thus it is uncertain when Davies will be able to return to action.Considering he had kept seven cleansheets in the defence this season, his absence will be felt.
