Female boxer Conjestina Ochieng is a household name in Kenya. She is a veteran boxer who is fondly remembered for representing Kenya in heavy weight boxing around the world and winning a number of accolades.
However, boxing seems to have taken a toll on her health leaving her mentally challenged. She recently hit the headlines after she was seen begging for food in the streets of Siaya. It is because of this that former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has come to the aid of the award winning boxer.
Sonko has helped Conjestina secure admission at the Mombasa Women Empowerment Network Hospital in Mritini where she is set to undergo rehabilitation. Sonko's act of charity has seen him receive praise from Kenyans and media personalities.
This is not the first time Mike Sonko has come to the aid of Conjestina. He has in the past helped her get admission to various rehabilitation centers where she recovers but gets ill again after being taken back to her rural home. We hope this time she will get better completely
