Transfer news LIVE: Three Free agents Manchester United could attempt to sign this summer

New United manager Erik ten Hag has been mandated with the rebuild task at Old Trafford after his appointment last season. The task require him to strengthen in multiple positions after a disastrous 2021/2022 campaign that saw the club finish in sixth place with 58 points and securing Europa league spot.

With the massive exodus of several senior players in the likes of Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata. It was reported that the new manager was handed a transfer budget totaling £120million by his heads and from the look of things, a big sum will be splashed on Frenkie de Jong's deal and Brazilian forward Antony.

And for that reason , the Red Devils may turn their attention to the free agent in market to address some of their desperate needs as the club looks to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

Here are some of the free agents Manchester United could or add to their ranks.

Paulo Dybala

With Cristiano Ronaldo handing transfer request to move out of Old Trafford , Manchester United will be left with Anthony Martial as the only other natural striker within the squad after the exit of Edinson Cavani, Manchester United may turn their attention to Argentine international, Dybala to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo in case he moves away this summer

Dybala, who has been linked with Manchester United in the past, is currently a free agent after ending a seven year spell at Juventus. It remains to be seen whether United bosses would utilise such a move for a clearly world class player but one with nagging injury nightmare and likely high wage demands if he was to make the switch from Italy to the Premier League.

Dan-Axel Zagadou

New Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is desperately in need of defensive reinforcements this summer as he trims his squad for the new season. Manchester United conceded a club record 58 goals in the Premier League last season because of fringe defenders . United’s pursuit of Jurrien Timber appears to be over with the Ajax and Dutch centre back set for a new deal with the side.

Andrea Belotti

Andrea Bellotti was also  heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in 2017 during the reign of Jose Mourinho, but ended up staying at Torino, where he netted 113 goals for the Italian side in his 7 years spell in Serie A. Belotti would certainly fit the mould of a Premier League striker because of his physicality which is the main concern in Premier league .
