Kenyan players have been plying their trade in various leagues all over the world. Some of the players have made it to the European leagues while others feature for African football clubs. Both players earn some good amount of money as compared to those plying their trade in the country. Most of our players who moved to Tanzanian sides will be featuring in the CAF champions league while others have already featured in the CAF confederation cup.
Tanzanian based duo of Saphan Oyugi and Baron Jobita helped their side Biashara FC to beat Djiboutian side Dikhil FC away in a 1.0 victory to boost their chances of progressing to the next round of the confederation cup.
Oyugi and Jobita who featured in the national team youth ranks will be looking for more minutes in the return leg set to be hosted in Tanzania on 18th this month. Elsewhere, Kenyan league winners Tusker FC will face Djiboutian side Arta Solar in the CAF champions league first round. The Kenyan side will be skippered by Eugine Asike and while Djiboutian side will be captained by a former Arsenal man Alex Song. We wish them all the best.
