Manchester united interested in Real Madrid midfielder

A report from ESPN has revealed that Manchester United have informed Real Madrid about their interest in signing Brazilian midfielder Casemiro.

The 30-year-old is under contract at Real until 2025 and played a key role in Madrid's recent success in the champions league.

It is unclear if Casemiro is remotely receptive to joining United but sources say Casemiro is deemed more attainable than Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

Casemiro has won the Champions League five times with Real and is a regular for the Brazil national team. United, bottom of the Premier League, face a season in the Europa League.

Man united failed to secure the signing of Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot due to his demand for high wages after agreeing a fee of €15M with Juventus.

Sky sports news have reported that Man united will table an offer of about €50M for the Brazilian.

Although the player's decision is yet to be made, Real Madrid manager is against the move and wants to keep casemiro despite signing french midfielder Aurelie Tchoaumeni.
