
Florentino Perez could not resist a dig at Kylian Mbappe after Real Madrid won champions league trophy. Mbappe had been protracted to make a big money move to Spanish capital. Talks were in advanced stages when Mbappe unexpectedly inked a contract extension to stay at PSG until 2025.
It was a sweet score for Perez to celebrate his team being crowned as champions of Europe at Paris where Mbappe chose to stay in his prime years of football. Perez said that Mbappe has already been forgotten. He said the club was focused on celebrating their recent win and that Mbappe now belonged to the past.
The Real Madrid president also outlined the future of Real Madrid after missing out on Kylian Mbappe. He said that the club will continue reinforcing the team with the best players. This hinted that Madrid will be willing to break the bank this transfer season.
