Good morning and welcome to my daily sports updates. Tap on the follow link on the top right corner if you haven't done so to receive more news updates .Welcome.

Yesterday, Kenyan athletes who participated in the Tokyo Olympic games were hosted by the athletics management. Most of them were given chances to speak about their journey to success. One of the outstanding performers Ferdinand Omanyala spoke about his journey as he celebrated his great achievements this season.

The Kenyan 100 metres sprinter was happy to have broken the African record becoming the fastest man in Africa as well as breaking the country's record five times.

However, the sprinter was quick to lament on his tight schedule. For him,it was hard to balance between education and training. His intense training yielded his success. We have seen sportsmen and women succeed in both fields and Omanyala who is a former Kamusinga boys high school is one of them. Michael Olunga has surprised many by becoming the best striker in the country despite scoring an A in highschool. Hard work, discipline and prayer is all that propels such individuals. We wish them all the best.
