Over the years incidents of medical scare have been happening with some cases ending in tragic fashion. Back in 2002 Cameroon midfielder Marc Vivian Foe collapsed and died on the ground.

A few months ago during the Euro 2020 competitions Danish Midfielder Cristian Eriksen collapsed on the field after suffering a heart attack. It took the intervention of the medical team to stabilize him before he was rushed to the hospital.

Earlier today Football fans across the world were left worried after a Newcastle fan collapsed a few meters from the field of play prompting the referee to stop the match.

Tottenham defender Sergio Reguillon sprinted to the referee to let him know about the situation in the stands immediately after the fan collapsed. Another Spurs defender Eric Dier sprinted to the medics to ensure they get the defibrillator. The referee immediately suspended the match in the first half.

By the time the play was suspended, medics had arrived and were attending to the fan.

Meanwhile, share with us your thoughts on the matter kindly.
