Since the start of the 2022 Swedish top tier league (Allsvenskan) season, AIK club which is home to three Kenyan footballers who include Eric Ouma, Henry Meja and Collins Sinchenje have been registering mixed performances despite a second place finish over the 2021 season.
On Wednesday night, Eric Ouma was the only Kenyan included in the matchday squad as AIK ran 1-0 winners over Varbergs Bals. The lone goal was scored in the 27th minute by Larsson from the penalty spot. The win was their second of the season after two losses to Malmo FF and Hacken and a win over Norrkoping in their last three matches.
The win left Ouma's AIK in the 10th position on the league table with 6 points from 4 matches. After the match, Eric Ouma was among the highest rated players by Sports data provider (Sofascore) with a rating of 7.2/10.
