Harry Maguire Explains His Celebration After Scoring Against Albania

England defender, Harry Maguire has coms out to explain his celebration after scoring the opener on yesterday's world cup qualifying match against Albania. The Manchester United skipper headed in perfectly to get his name on the scoresheet and ran to the corner flag with a knee slide with fingers covering his ears.

Critics and furious Manchester United fans including club legend, Roy Keane who claimed that Maguire's celebration wa embarrassing considering his form with the club in recent matches. Maguire however came out clean to state that the celebration was just an ordinary one and that he directed it to no one. He added that being a Manchester United captain, he expects to face a lot of criticism.

"It [celebration vs Albania] wasn't directed at no one. It was a knee slide, I obviously put my hands on my ears. I'm Manchester United captain, of course I'm going to get criticism when the team isn't doing well — but of course it's not directed at no one." Maguire told the Daily mail.
