The newly elected president Umar Kremblev is expected to arrive to Nairobi in Kenya today for a virtual forum after his confirmation by the Boxing Federation of Kenya. The forum is planned for February 7, 2021.
"AIBA President Umar Kremlev will visit Nairobi, Kenya, the capital of the event, while the AIBA Board of Directors and National Federations representatives will join the meeting virtually," said BFK communications director Duncan Kuria..
Duncan Kuria further stated that they were initially expecting Kremblev to arrive on this country on Monday but he changed his mind and therefore will land today. At afternoon time, Kremblev will get an opportunity to interract with top government officials to discuss on the issues affecting the economy and development in Africa at large.
Kremlev is also expected to join the 'Hit Squad' for a training session and will later donate boxing equipment to St. Theresa and Githurai 44 boxing clubs. Kremblev spoke on Monday and said that he will be much proud to welcome everyone to the forum to show joint effort towards achieving the sustainable and prosperous future for boxing.
