Chelsea are currently leading in the 2021/2022 English Premier League table with 16 points and a +12 goal difference. They have won five EPL matches, lost one match and draw in one.
Having added more players in the 2021 Summer transfer window, there is a need to apply a new formation that will help them retain their lead in the English Premier League table.
However this formation seems to be lacking an attacking midfielder. Both Mason Mount and Kai Havertz can play as attacking midfielders. Placing either of them in that position then bringing in Timo Werner will work quit well.
Reece James and Macos Alonso are good at playing as wing backs as they provide more crosses to the foward players. Retaining them then employing either of these three formations could work for The Blues manager Thomas Tuchel.
