After a successful time as an interim manager, Michael Carrick is now set to step down for Rangnick to take charge. The new Manchester United's manager had seen processing of his work permit take a longer time than expected.
Carrick however, has been able to lead the team to achieve better results. The Manchester United's legendary midfielder has also exercised acts of power as a manager by giving different players equal chances.
Carrick saw reactions online spread wildly after he benched Cristiano Ronaldo against Chelsea last weekend. The manager went on to substitute the Portuguese talisman yesterday as United faced Arsenal. This was not taken well by Ronaldo who seemed unhappy for being taken off.
He remained standing on the touchline for a few minutes while shaking his head. The Manchester United's forward went on to express his disappointment by running straight to the tunnel. Being denied a chance to score an hatrick has been seen as a reason for Ronaldo's disappointment. He also managed to reach a milestone of eight hundred and one goals.
