Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix, Zandvoort

The Dutch Grand Prix is the second race of the triple header races after the summer break. The revamped Zandvoort circuit just rejoined the F1 calendar having hosted the last formula 1 race in 1985 . Coming into the weekend from the shortest race in F1 history at spa which was a farce by the way , the two championship protagonists in Max Verstappen and lewis Hamilton were set to lock horns. On Saturday qualifying Max was able to get pole position by a merely three hundredths of a second from Lewis so they lined up at the front row of the grid with Bottas in P3 . Their was a fantastic atmosphere at the circuit all weekend with the stands full of the raucous orange army rallying behind their home hero Max .Furthermore the track itself is aesthetic with its banking in the corners , without a doubt it has one of the best corners on the calendar. Its lights out ! And the race began.Max started on the front foot and created a gap in the first few corners . Max was to hold off lewis for the better part of the afternoon and redbull had the answers to the Mercedes strategy calls despite the fact that they had two drivers in the podium slots hence having a strategy advantage.Lewis dived into the pits at lap 21 but Max replied by also diving into the pits a lap later hence the undercut could not work.Max eventually won the race in front of his partisan home crowd , a proud moment for him indeed .
