Ngolo Kante is arguably one of the best holding midfielders the Premier League has ever seen. Many clubs, including Arsenal, would jump at the chance to sign him. What if I told you that Arteta is on the verge of acquiring "Ngolo Kante"? You're probably wondering if Kante will leave Chelsea for Arsenal. The Frenchman will not be joining Arsenal, but Brighton midfielder Moses Caicedo could.
"He is a terrific athlete who makes football look easy. A box-to-box midfielder," said Tim Vickery as per HITC on Caicedo.
"A year ago he was saying that Kante of Chelsea was his role model, but he is already more than that. He already offers more in the final third.
"That kind of box-to-box midfielder that’s very much in the tradition of the England game. Strong, quick, intelligent, and cool. He really does look like the genuine article."
Apart from citing Vickery's analysis on Caicedo, HITC confirms that Arsenal are keen for Caicedo to join them and are considering a move to bring him in. If Arsenal's move for Caicedo is successful, Arteta could boast of having his own Kante in the 20-year-old.
