The Kenyan was on the radar of Germany Bundesliga side Borusia Dortmund two days ago.However,according to sources,Arsenal have joined the race to sign the Kenyan towering defender who is only 24years of age.Arsenal will be looking to add some options at the back since they will be playing in the Europa league next season. According to sports journalist Fred Arocho, Okumu's agent has confirmed the interest from Mikel Arteta side.With Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes on the radar of Italian side Juventus, Okumu could be a perfect feet for the Brazilian star.
Juventus are looking to replace veteran defender Chielin who is set to join one of the MLS sides.According to pd.co.ke, Arsenal and Celtic FC had also shown interest despite Dortmund being front runners to secure his deal.If Arsenal moves faster,they could secure his services since the player is open to a move if a good offer is tabled.Okumu was named among KAA Gent players of the season. He has been absolutely outstanding for the side and could be on the verge of joining European elite leagues soon.
