Salah's Contract Situation And Ole Gunnar's Managerial Position Drama

Dear football lover, welcome to my daily sports update. All you need to know is well covered.

English Premier League has established itself as one of the toughest leagues in Europe and of course in the whole world.

At the beginning of this campaign, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool were all seen as the title contenders according to many pundits.

However, the current situation has seen Manchester United drop from that rank having lost some points carelessly against average and bottom teams. Manchester United have not yet played against a top six club this campaign despite their poor run compared to their rivals like Chelsea who have faced almost all the top six clubs and secured a couple of good results. This leaves Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea as the three-horse title chasers.

Salah's Contract Situation

Mohamed Salah has established himself as one of the best players in the premier League. The Egytian winger showed a classy performance against Manchester City in the weekend after assistant Sadio Mane as well as founding the back of the net.

However, Liverpool is worried about his contact situation as the player's current contract set to expire in 2023. As at now, nothing has been agreed between Liverpool and Salah but talks are expected at the end of the year. Liverpool's legend and former captain, Carragher, has urged the club to tie down their best player, Salah to a new advanced contact.

Ole Gunnar's Situation

Manchester United have only won two of their last six matches and have also seen one of their trophy avenues closed after they suffered a Carabao defeat against Westham United. These questionable results puts Ole's position as a manager in a very dangerous place considering the current United squad after summer signings. But United only being two points behind league leaders, Chelsea, the glazers might consider giving him few more time for assessment.

Arsenal Eyeing Calvert Lewin

Arsenal have drawn a short list of their striker targets with Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewinleading the list alongside Aston Villa's Watkins as they prepare for Lacazette's departure.

Sir Alex Ferguson Overheard Criticizing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

In a clip that has trended on social media platforms, Sir Alex Ferguson was heard criticising Ole about leaving Christiano Ronaldo on the bench saying that Ronaldo must always start.

Ole's decision to rest his key players against Everton in their last match which ended in a draw was not only questioned by Ferguson but by many who thought there was no need of resting players ahead of international break.

Chelsea Linked with Christopher Nkunku

Thomas Tuchel is looking forward to reunite with the RB Leipzig man, Nkunku who has been in a good form this campaign after his 9 goals and three assists for Leipzig across all competitions. Chelsea's interest in Nkunku has been boosted by Nkunku's agent, Pini Zahavi, who has claimed that his player is now above Leipzig echelons.
