Here are all the 5 African countries that have qualified for 2022 World Cup.

The international break has been an interesting one with different countries going toe to toe to seal a spot in the upcoming World Cup tournament.The break has seen the 2020 Euro champions Italy miss a chance to play in the world stage for a second successive time after being eliminated by North Macedonia.

In Africa,the final games to decide the five countries that will represent the continent were played yesterday.The fixtures were interesting to watch and below are the countries that have qualified.


After winning the African Cup of Nations by beating Egypt in the finals,the Lions of Teranga managed to go past Egypt again booking a chance in the World Cup.After a single goal first leg win for Egypt,the second leg ended in a 2-1 win for Senegal.The game was decided through penalties where Senegal win.


Ghana surprisingly eliminated Nigeria to qualify for the World Cup.After a goaless draw in the first leg,Ghana scored ones yesterday in a game that ended 1-1.


Morroco have qualified for the World Cup after eliminating D.R.Congo.They have now qualified in two successive occasions.


A single goal lead in the first leg saw Tunisia qualify for the World Cup despite a goaless draw yesternight.


The Afcon hosts eliminated Algeria in a game that was decided in the extra time.Having qualified for the 2018 World Cup, Algeria will now miss the 2022 World Cup.

The World Cup draw will take place on 1st April 2022 with the tournament set to start on 21st November 2022.
