Manchester United will be looking to pick up where they left off in the Premier League this Tuesday evening, with the 20-time English champions welcoming Nottingham Forest to Old Trafford at 2300 hours.
Before the league took a world cup break, the Red Devils recorded a 2-1 victory over Fulham in their last league match on November 13, while Forest were also winners, beating Crystal Palace 1-0 at home. This game is expected to be an interesting one. United are predicted to register a home win, days after recording a 2-0 win over Burnley in the Carabao cup round of 16.
Eric Ten Haag will be without three of his first-choice back four but is still able to select a high-quality side. Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane are absent due to personal reasons. Diogo Dalot is absent until early January because of hamstring injury.
Another absentee is Jadon Sancho. He is injured but will be back within few days. Ten Haag will still name a strong lineup even without these stars. He has the likes of Rashford, Antony, Martial, Casemiro, Lindelof and others to pick his starting eleven from.
Below is the full predicted lineup.
Goalkeeper: David De Gea.
Defenders: Aron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.
Midfielders: Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes
Forwards: Marcus Rashford, Antony Santos and Anthony Martial.
With the above lineup, we predict Manchester United to win 3-0. Nottingham Forest have been struggling away from home. They have only scored once away from home. We don't expect them to get a goal against Manchester United.
We wish them all the best.
